Why do you think we care so much about what other people think of us?

According to the Williamsburg Therapy Group “Humans are, by nature, social animals. That's why we care what others think of us: We want to belong, to be accepted, and to bond with other members of our social "pack." Caring about other people's opinions of us is a survival mechanism as old as humanity itself.”

So it makes sense that we care… but when did it start becoming toxic and to the point where we are crossing the threshold between caring and being passionate in a healthy way, and caring and being obsessed because we are worried about being judged?

Check out my most recent episode and see if you too can resonate with this and give one of my tips to reentering your focus on what you care about a try!

  1. People will form opinions of you that are none of your business and it’s not your job to try to change them
  2. No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes
  3. Build yourself up instead- be around people who fill your cup and encourage you to live an authentic life. This will make you more confident and stop giving a f*** about what the rest of the world thinks or says
  4. Don’t try to read peoples minds, its not worth it
  5. Remember who the fuck you are and focus on the GOOD. Be PRESENT and THANKFUL. If you were to die tomorrow and all you could say about your life is that you cared too much about what other people thought of you, then that is one sad life.

Get out there and LIVE.

“Too many people die with the music still inside of them… it’s time to live.” … and stop giving a rats ass about what other people think.

I love you and I believe in you!
