In a world that moves so quickly, meditation offers a pause—a moment to reconnect with yourself and what I like to refer to as a time-in.
Historically, the enigmatic practice of meditation, which is rooted in deep cultural and religious history, was observed as a pathway toward enlightenment. In modern times, however, it’s more commonly used to manage anxiety and stress and more of a pathway toward relaxation.
There are many different types of meditation, mostly falling under the categories of guided and unguided (or silent) meditations. There is not a universally accepted or “best” method, but there are components to meditation that are consistent across practices.
