Description

In his sermon, Chase Moser reflects on the dual nature of the past year experienced by members of Grace Bible Church, highlighting moments of joy and sorrow alike. He observes the congregation's journey through baptisms and departures, births and losses, and personal triumphs and struggles. Moser then turns to Romans 8:28-30, emphasizing God's promise to work all things for the good of those who love Him. He underscores that this promise, though encompassing both positive and negative experiences, is specifically for believers, those called according to God’s purpose.

Moser details three key points. First, he reassures the congregation that everything in 2023, and what will happen in 2024, serves their good because God is orchestrating life’s events. He clarifies that this doesn’t make every event inherently good, but rather, God uses these events for the believer’s ultimate good.

Second, he explains that God’s plan aims to conform believers to the image of Christ. This process includes both joyful and challenging experiences, all designed to refine and shape one's character.

Finally, Moser assures that God’s plan for His people is guaranteed to reach completion. He explores the theological concepts of foreknowledge, predestination, calling, justification, and glorification, illustrating a divine chain of events leading to the believer's ultimate transformation and glorification.

Moser concludes by encouraging different groups within the church: non-believers to embrace Christ, those who have experienced blessings to remain grateful, and those who have suffered to trust in God's plan. He emphasizes that God's plan, while sometimes mysterious, is always directed towards the ultimate good and glory of those who love Him.
