On today’s episode, I sit down with resident comedian and social media star, Tyler Bender. Tyler is 21 years old, born and bred in a large Mormon community, outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. She’s been in the marketing industry since college, but always knew she wanted to do something more. With her background in theater and comedy, she decided to take to tiktok and start posting various bits and moments from her life. Pulling niche experiences and observations, and creating relatable comedy around those real life happenings. Fast forward a few years, and she’s quit her job to pursue content creation, influencing, and comedy full time. This episode was SO much fun. We talk a ton about being mormon, and why her and her family decided to leave. She tells us all the tea; polygamy, soaking, and why you aren’t allowed to go to the grocery store on Sundays. She then tells the come up story of her career- gives SO much incredible advice for anyone in a 9-5, ready to take on their own business, and go from side hustle to full time. She also has a really unique perspective on content creation; with her background in marketing, she’s much more calculated, technical, and analytical than most influencers. This is such a fabulous, fresh perspective, and she gives us tons of industry secrets and formulas to be successful with social media.
