This week, I sat down with my 25 year old (yes single), brother, Ethan Smyth, while at our grandparents house in Northern Ireland. We did a podcast together back in October, when he came to visit me in Colorado. Since then, he’s quit his job, sold all of his belongings, and set off to travel the world. 7 months in, he’s a changed man. Okay not really, he’s still equaparts boy genius and shit head- BUT, he’s traveled more in the last half a year, than some people travel in their entire lives. Visiting exotic places like Korea, Cambodia, Australia, and islands in Thailand I can’t begin to pronounce. Ethan walks us through his travels thus far; why Vietnam is a must-see, how he ended up with two random thigh tattoos, what it’s like to run with the bulls in Paloma, and why he owes an Aussie RV company a lot of money. We swap stories from our solo adventures and try our best to give advice to others that want to travel, but have no idea where to begin. We laughed til we cried, and disgraced the family name, one story at a time.
