In this episode, I briefly outline the potential pros of drinking alcohol. You should know there are not many. I then break down the process of alcohol metabolism, what is happening in your body when you drink alcohol.
In addition, I explain how it affects your brain and gut over the long term and in the short term. I discuss the impacts it has on your mood and feelings of well-being.
Lastly, I discuss the foods you can eat to slow the absorption of alcohol and help support your gut and ultimately your brain after having ingested alcohol. And of course, I briefly touch on possible ways to reduce hangovers.
I just want to state that I am not a medical professional. And you should take anything I say with a grain of salt, like anything you hear on the internet really.
I am just here to share my personal experience with alcohol and the things I wish I had learned about alcohol much, much sooner.
