What makes Impact 100 St. Lucie a Good Neighbor ...

Impact 100 St. Lucie is in its fifth year of existence. We are a women’s giving circle whose mission is to improve our St. Lucie County community one transformational project at a time. The women of Impact 100 St. Lucie pool their money to create an impactful grant for one St. Lucie County non-profit each year. In the past four years we have given over $381,000 to 20 St. Lucie County non-profits to help them create change for their clients. This year, on October 28th, we will be awarding an $80,000 grant to another St. Lucie County non-profit.

In order to create the grant each year, each member donates $1100, $1000 of which goes directly to the grant fund. The remaining $100 goes to our partner and fiscal agent, The Community Foundation Martin-St. Lucie, for administrative expenses. We have also established a volunteering component in addition to the philanthropic one. Our Give Back Saturdays take place on the second Saturday of each month. Currently, we help out at CareBag Inc., Graceway Village, Habitat for Humanity and the Treasure Coast Food Bank. We welcome any St. Lucie County non-profit to contact us and ask for our help. We are happy to oblige and get to know them better.

My main goal right now is not just to increase our membership but to get our organization and what we do better known in the community. Thank you, Garfield, for the opportunity to do just that.
