Hibiscus Children’s Center has been saving the lives of children on the Treasure Coast since 1985. The Tilton Family Children’s Shelter in Jensen Beach and Hibiscus Village in Vero Beach provide safe haven for children and youth along with mental health counseling, education services and career training skills. Community outreach services include Mental Health Services and a dedicated Sexual Abuse Treatment Program, only one of thirteen programs in the state. Supporting Families in Crisis provides prevention services to St. Lucie families with a 100% success rate. SafeCare is an at-home parent education program serving St. Lucie and Indian River families. Parents as Teachers Program provides Okeechobee families with child development knowledge and parenting support. Last year, more than 1,700 children and families were served by Hibiscus programs.
