I remember the day Jesus radically changed his life like it was yesterday!
Today I get to have a sit down conversation with my friend, Chris Hanson. Chris came to our church at a place when he was far from a relationship with God.
Struggling in a battle with alcohol and living out the impacts of that fight, Chris started attending a small group at our church and then eventually started coming on Sunday mornings.
And the craziest thing started to happen. This guy that was far from the Lord, kept coming and kept coming. He was starting to form relationships with believers, starting to really pay attention to the sermons. Then at a conference our Church was putting on, he asked Jesus to come into his heart and transform his life - and man did Jesus come through!
Chris was baptized on our last Sunday before COVID shut us down for a while and we started meeting on Zoom once a week and you could see his passion for Jesus just took off.
Today Chris is a changed man. Free from the bondage of alcohol, passionate about his faith, and reaching people for Jesus through social media.
In our conversation, we are going to talk about not giving up on the people in your life that are far from God, the radical impact that a relationship with Jesus can have on an addiction, and the beauty of beginning a relationship with Jesus even as an adult.
