Self-worth is all about your relationship with yourself. Yes, that's right, it's not about what others think of you, it's what you think of you.
The problem is that when our self-worth is low we seek validation from others which might make us feel momentarily better but often we reject it anyway because our self-worth is so low. When we constantly seek validation we then become reliant on others for our self-worth which is not what the definition of self-worth is.
Self-worth is the value and the respect that you hold for yourself. It is intrinsic (from the inside) and not extrinsic (from the outside).
