1) Be Decisive In Following Him – Luke 9:23 – “Then Jesus said to all of them, If any one wants to come after me…”
2) Put Aside Your Personal Desires – Luke 9:23 – “Let him deny himself”
3) Be Willing to Suffer For Him – Luke 9:23 – “…and take up his cross daily”
4) Lose to Gain – Matthew 16:25 – “For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake, will find it
5) Understand That Our Goals are Spiritual and Not Material – Matthew 16:26 – “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul.
