Ben teaches worship and ecotheology at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago where he is professor and director of advanced studies. After serving as Village pastor in 2000-2003, he studied at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (STM) and Emory University (PhD). His first book, A Watered Garden: Christian Worship and Earth’s Ecology, was published in 2011.
