Welcome to The Wild Card Podcast!  This is episode 127 of our attempt at this whole podcasting thing!! Today's episode features: Jared Eaton leaving the green M&M's (Ron might have snorted one), Jeff Curtis making children cry and then hiding behind a door, and Ron Blair trying his best to behave!! Throughout the episode, you'll hear the three of us discuss such varied topics as: the way this podcast is about being unable to knock it out of the park every week, our favorite operas, a short commercial that's definitely in poor taste, the importance of becoming the game, the ghost of Babe Ruth enjoying the Christmas Carol, the tight shoe debacle of 1896, and occasionally we part from our tangents to talk about the origin of the musical, Rent. This week, Jeff reveals how Rent was developed from Scènes de la vie de bohème and the opera, La bohème.  We look at the life of its author Jonathon Larson, the work it took to mount the show, the battle to produce it, and the tragedy surrounding the show's opening.  Join us on this journey to wherever and we're sure you'll realize that there's no podcast but our Podcast, Viva la Vie Wildcard!

Please like/subscribe and leave comments below! Let us know your thoughts on Rent the musical or the process of making it, your favorite operas, whether your prefer Babe Ruth's ghost or Baby Ruth's, any future reports you'd like us to do, and if you are interested in being an official Deckhead!

P.S.  “There is no future, there is no past. I live this moment as my last. There's only us. There's only this. Forget regret, or life is yours to miss. No other road. No other way. No day but today."

~Jonathon Larson - Rent
