‘Her work is rooted in liberation theology, dipped in pop culture references, sprinkled with humor, and packaged in joy.’
A true force of nature (je nais se quois), Jessica shares stories of her recent sabbatical adventures and resulting enlightenment. A discussion ensues of her passions, influences, and role as a teacher as she continues to design an authentic, meaningful path for herself and others. Her creative expression takes many forms as a visual performance artist, founding member of ERB, member of Toys2Men, and impactful community activist.
Jessica’s understanding of wellbeing transcends all the senses, physical and emotional response and responsibility to honor spaces as well as places in history. Her work on The Green Book Project reminds us of her dedication and compassion to community. Jessica’s powerful voice and perspective comes to life in her latest FLOAT program to shape wellbeing and access to the water for Black Women. An important and impactful conversation.
