She was born and raised in North Carolina, where she made her home in Angier, NC. Frances discovered her passion for education at an early age, inspired by the transformative impact of her teachers and the lack of minority teachers in her schools.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Middle-Grade Education from North Carolina Central University, Frances embarked on a fulfilling career in education, starting as a classroom teacher in an underserved community. Her innate ability to connect with her students and ignite their curiosity laid the foundation for her future endeavors. Recognized for her exceptional teaching skills and innovative approaches, Frances soon ascended to the role of Curriculum Specialist, where she played a pivotal role in developing inclusive educational programs tailored to diverse student needs.
