I met Cassie six years ago when her husband passed away from cancer and she was left a widow with 4 children under the age of 5. I have wondered what happened to Cassie and her children after Damien’s death so I reached out to her to ask if she would share her personal story with me and how she has felt the spirit of the Lord in her journey. Cassie tells her story of being a young widow, facing the challenges of raising four children with faith in God’s plan on top of grieving the loss of her young husband. Cassie’s story is one of hope as she is an example of “pushing through hard times because it does get better”. I was inspired to hear how her physical health, spirituality, relationships and mental health has been renewed as she puts the Lord first in her life.
