On today's episode I discuss my own personal experience with feeling guilt and shame following some subpar weekend decisions that are, within the context of my new identity, out of character.
I discuss how eating out regularly and drinking alcohol several days in a row can suck you into a deep pit of new habit formation that then leads you to continue to make poor choices because the more days you continue these habits, the harder it is to pull yourself out of it and get back on track with your better habits.
I also mention that guilt is a crucial emotion and a sign that you are not behaving in alignment with your values. It is an emotion to pay attention to and not one to numb out or brush under the rug.
