The one thing I know for sure is that most people have a story as to why and how they ended up in New Mexico from taking a job here to one guy when I was doing talk radio three hours a day, five days a week who I was interviewing about something, and I asked him how he came to New Mexico. He smiled and said, “Well, I was living in Michigan, and it snowed one hundred days in a row and I snapped. So, I tied a snow shovel to the top of my car and drove south until someone asked, hey buddy, what is that thing on top of your car? I was in Las Cruces and moved here because most people here do not know what a snow shovel is or have reason to know.”
