Tomorrow is the real Veteran’s Day and I want to connect the national holiday today, with the men and women of New Mexico. We should not confuse Veteran’s Day with Memorial Day which honors American service members who died in the service of their country. The remembrance we have November 11th is for everyone who have served their country. And, I want to add a group to Veteran’s Day, that of the families of those who served their country because they also provided for the defense of our Republic.
