America’s pastime stole the heart of a young boy from Massachusetts. An athletic journey that would place him in rooms with players and coaches who are considered some of the best. A work ethic and determination that surpassed all the doubt, rejection and obstacles that came his way. Mark Shannon found himself playing Division II baseball for a small liberal arts college in New Hampshire not knowing that while baseball led him there it would be so much more that kept him there. In this conversation with my friend and fellow alumni we talk about our incredible experience at Franklin Pierce University and how we both were forever changed by those four years. You will fall in love with Mark’s passion for baseball and his vision for the future of the game!

• As you are getting started in your career regardless of your field; network and put yourself out there- seize opportunities
• Having a supportive partner is crucial to becoming your best self and living out your dreams
• Time management and goal-setting are key to achieving success
