Diotima Mantineia is a witch and has been a professional astrologer and tarot reader for more than thirty years. She is also the author of Touch the Earth, Kiss the Sky: Allowing the Rational Mind to Welcome Magic and Spirituality (Llewellyn, 2020). She writes for Witches & Pagans and teaches widely. In 1986, Diotima began reading Tarot, and discovered that she was a gifted intuitive. In 1991, she started practicing both astrology and Tarot professionally. She views astrology and Tarot as tools for understanding our lives in the context of a holographic, holistic universe, in which each part reflects and is connected to the whole.
Her personal spiritual path is rooted in the Western Mystery Traditions, the principles of Yoga, and a profound connection with the natural world. She follows a Wiccan path, and utilize various magical and shamanic practices for healing and to live in harmony with Nature. Over 15 years of studying Chinese martial arts has given her a deep appreciation of Taoist thought, and she believes that Consciousness is the source of the reality we experience.
