This episode of the Doc2Doc Podcast features Jamie Raevis, MD, a Retinal Specialist at Monmouth Retina in New Jersey and Luke Lindsell, OD, MD, a Retinal Specialist at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. Both share their insights on age related macular degeneration and geographic atrophy.
Geographic atrophy (GA) is an advanced form of dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), characterized by atrophic lesions that start in the outer retina and progressively expand to cover the fovea (the central part of the macula), leading to irreversible loss of vision.
