Description

I never thought that I'd do this. For a hot minute I worked on someone else's podcast and I thought, "no way, that's not for me!" Fast forward many months later and after some client peer pressure, here I am.

The truth is, I have stories to tell and tips to share so you can kick start your Intuitive Eating practice and get off the weight-loss roller coaster for good.

But first, let's get to know each other!

In this episode, I'm taking you way back to before I was an anti-diet dietitian and certified intuitive eating counselor - back to when I had a love-hate relationship with food and my body.

I created this episode to share my experience as a woman growing up in diet culture while being a professional athlete who was terrified of losing my competitive edge and being unhealthy.

Even though those were difficult times, I wouldn't be the intuitive eating counselor I am today without having those experiences. They are the foundation of why I'm passionate about helping other active middle-aged women break free from food rules and body shame.

I believe that when we, as middle-aged women, can feel empowered in our bodies and have healthy relationships with food, we'll naturally inspire young women and girls around us to do the same. There's a trickle-down effect.

So instead of passing on dieting and body shame for generations, we can stop that cycle and put an end to disordered eating and eating disorders permanently.

It's a mighty why. But I'm here for it and I'm grateful you are too. Let's get this Savor Food and Body journey started!
