The City of Port St. Lucie has come a long way in a short amount of time. Initially created as a bedroom community in 1961 by a development group, Port St. Lucie has grown from less than 300 people to more than 230,000. How did we grow so fast, and more importantly, were we prepared for it? On Episode 5, host Maureen Kenyon and Mayor Shannon Martin explore why PSL has become such a desirable place to live, how our history affects the way the City grows today and what local leaders are doing to manage growth and prepare for it in the future.
