Another Pushy Pal joins us for a Special episode! A must listen for any performer or parent with a particular interest in Theatre and West End Theatre.
In this episode of the Pushy Pushy podcast, hosts Mark and Nia interview musical theatre performer Alex Bird... a brilliant triple threat actress, creative and now Mum of 2 boys, with a  West End career spanning almost 3 decades! They discuss Alex's early start in the West End at the age of 6, growing up and continually auditioning and working alongside her (also West End performing) sister, and the sacrifices her parents made to make their lives work. Alex shares stories from iconic West End productions like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wicked, and Matilda as an Adult performer and working with young professional children in these shows. She talks about moving into the film world with (released December 2023) WONKA and transitioning to working behind the scenes as a creative on this film.
Alex and Nia also reflect on being performing arts parents themselves now, and if performing is the right path for their own children.
Overall, an insightful look at forging a lifelong career on stage and screen, with the Pushy Pushy team and their wonderful pal Alex giving real insight into young Performers in the Industry emphasising the important of staying positive (and pushy!)
