Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis delivered an amazing clap back to the Republicans that have accused her of wrongdoing with her latest court filing by pointing out that relationships between prosecutors are not just common, but they are happening on the other side of her trial, as well. One of the defendants that has already pleaded guilty has hired a lawyer that is romantically involved with a lawyer for another defendant that has not pleaded, and Willis says that if that relationship is ok, then hers is, too.
Also, the Republican Party suffered humiliation after humiliation last week, and Democrats are hoping to seize on the "chaos" that the Party is constantly operating under as the election draws closer. Both the Biden campaign and Democratic strategists are hoping to paint the entire GOP as the party of dysfunction in this year's races, and that isn't a very difficult claim to make given their recent string of failures.
And it isn't just the MAGA cultists that we need to worry about. A new poll shows that a majority of Republicans in America say that it is, at least, "probably" fine that Donald Trump wants to be some form of dictator if he retakes The White House in this year's election. The entire Party has fallen under Trump's spell, and they don't even seem to realize that they would likely be the ones to suffer the most if he gets back into office.
Finally, Donald Trump is predicting the end of the entire country if he is not allowed to commit crimes. Trump sent out an angry, reality-defying post on Truth Social after last week's immunity decision crushed his hopes of avoiding prosecution, and he claimed that if he can't have immunity then the country as we know it is over. The exact opposite is actually true, and if we aren't able to hold our leaders accountable then the country would actually be over with.
