The chairman of the Florida Republican Party, Christian Ziegler, is being investigated by police over allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman that he was allegedly having a menage a trois with (along with his wife, who happens to be a co-founder of Moms for Liberty.) Ziegler denies all the allegations, and his lawyer says that he will be fully exonerated, but the police report seems pretty harsh.
And to no one's surprise, Kari Lake lost in court again this past week, but this time the judge wasn't as nice as other judges have been in the past. In the ruling, the judge described Lake's crusade as one being driven by greed, and compared her story to the fable of the goose that laid the golden eggs (and the greedy townsfolk always wanting more.) But the judge pointed out that Lake's goose failed to lay any eggs, and Farron breaks down this humiliating defeat for Lake.
Finally, within hours of an appellate court reinstating his gag order, Donald Trump got on Truth Social and viciously attacked the wife of Judge Arthur Engoron. Trump made the false claim that Engoron's wife had been posting on Twitter that Trump would soon be in an orange jumpsuit, in spite of the fact that she doesn't appear to even have a social media account there. A further investigation by the court proved that it wasn't her post, but the damage was already done at that point.
