A former member of Donald Trump's administration says that she was "stunned" by his very obvious and serious mental decline, which was on full display over the weekend. During rallies on Saturday, Trump not only claimed that he could have won blue states like California if it weren't for election interference, but he also suggested that he could win blue states in 2024 if Jesus Christ comes down and acts as the "scorekeeper." These are very abnormal statements from a declining elderly man.
And Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz was vocal about his opposition to expelling George Santos from Congress before, during, and after the expulsion happened. Gaetz whined about the fact that members can be expelled without "due process" and that simple allegations are enough to warrant removal. Those sound like the words of a man who is terrified that the allegations against him - even though he was not criminally charged - could be enough to make him the next man up on the chopping block.
Also, the Pentagon has released their annual report on extremism, and they didn't have to look far to find the danger that it poses to the United States. According to the report, there are dozens of active duty members of the military who advocate for overthrowing the US government, a direct violation of their service. But these people might be just what Donald Trump is looking for in a second term.
Finally, Donald Trump could find himself facing even more criminal charges in the near future as his former attorney has agreed to cooperate in another state criminal investigation into the fake elector scheme. The lawyer, Kenneth Chesebro, has already been indicted and taken a plea deal in Georgia, and his willingness to cooperate with an investigation in Nevada could connect the dots directly back to Donald Trump.
