Jack Smith is not done with his investigation, and he is now taking a good look at Sidney Powell's efforts to infiltrate voting machines in several states - similar to what Powell was charged with doing in Georgia. Reports suggest that Smith has been asking witnesses about the money that Powell raised via her legal group after the 2020 election, and he is following that trail to operatives who did, in fact, breach voting machine data in at least 4 states.
Also, there is a battle brewing behind the scenes at Trump's campaign, as both Marjorie Taylor Greene and Kari Lake are fighting to become his pick for Vice President. Sources who spoke to Rolling Stone said that they hope the former president isn't "stupid enough" to pick Greene, but they added that Greene has been trashing Lake in private conversations to sway things in her way. Lake is reportedly doing the same.
And finally, Donald Trump hit a new level of creepiness in a Truth Social post on Monday, openly fantasizing about how he and other Republicans are going to punish Democrats if he wins next year's election. Trump's prospects for winning are starting to look slim, but that doesn't mean that we can ignore the threats that he is routinely sending out against anyone that has the audacity to oppose him.
