Donald Trump's beloved Truth Social is facing a critical decision today, as the group that is supposed to be buying it out is set to vote on whether they will give themselves another year to finalize the deal. If that vote fails, the company is legally required to liquidate their assets, repay the investors, and the deal is officially dead. If that happens, Trump is on the hook for all the costs of the company, and that's not good for a platform that is pulling in virtually nothing.
Also, Marjorie Taylor Greene is pretending that she is the victim as she pushes for a full government shutdown if she doesn't get her way. Greene is desperately pushing to impeach President Biden, but it looks like more and more Republicans in her caucus are moving against the idea. So Greene has decided that she'll block the government funding bills that have to pass by the end of the month or else the government goes into shutdown mode - all because she isn't getting her way.
And finally, according to new reports, Donald Trump's Save America PAC - the group that has been paying most of his legal fees - has very little cash on hand and they've somehow managed to blow through most of the $150 million that they raised following the 2020 election. Not only does this mean that Trump is going to have to start paying out of pocket for his lawyers, but it also means that his presidential campaign may not be as strong as he's led us to believe.
