Description

Karen touches base on some of the best episodes within the whole podcast! A year's worth of content in review and she could not be more excited to share it with their followers! She mentioned everything from creating the podcast to individual interviews, and hearing feedback. The highs, the lows, and the in-betweens- this episode is jam-packed with experience and words of wisdom!

“All of the episodes are my favorite”, Karen jokes about her podcast. She has thoroughly enjoyed learning the many life stories of interviewees and growing relationships with people she had previously not known. Her biggest realization through this project was comprehending the extreme difference of talking to people face-to-face versus over a microphone. It has been a blessed learning experience as she has both grown and helped others grow.

Favorite Episodes:

  1. Episode 3 with Jeremy Wilson
  2. Episode 15 with David Rodgers
  3. Episode 39 with Alicia Enstrom

While her three favorite episodes from the podcast are industrially far different from each other, they all include wonderful and talented people. Karen mentioned that she used to gravitate towards the people who appear to be the best at what they do. Now, while keeping that in mind, she searches for the best type of people. These three episodes include people who truly blow Karen away with the way they live their everyday life.

Despite 50 episodes and Karen did not do this project for any reason but then to help others. There are no advertisements, due to the intent of the Musician’s Guide. She is here to help others grow and learn as she claims that is what we owe to those who have helped us. She hopes this podcast will reach various musicians within the industry as she wants to repair the tainted image or the musician's typical life. The secret to being healthy, wealthy and wise.

Concluding this episode, Karen speaks with words of wisdom when reflecting on a successful year-long project. This was a learning process that brought her so much joy. Karen sums up her advice with various quotes, “Do not be afraid to stand before you're ready. Just move forward. Flying a plane while still building it and knowing that it will be okay. Life keeps changing. And your only real job is to keep changing with life. You learn more with time. You can't improvise experience.
