Description

“We all face crises and obstacles, but the challenge is for us to find how to best sort them out, how to succeed at what matters, and how to support yourself through both good and bad times.”

Deemed a “one-man arts education industry” by The Wall Street Journal, Mitchell Korn is a music mentor mastermind. His music career started with the 12-string guitar, touring extensively for decades and performing in thousands of concerts from solo performances to duos with storytellers and a glass harmonica player. He also took to composition, composing scores for dance companies and documentary films.

Through his amazing performance career, Mitchell found that he wanted to reorient his place in the music industry to provide these performance opportunities to others – “driven by rethinking the opportunities for young people”. He became a sought-after arts advocate, strategist, and educator, changing and innovating arts education in Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Baltimore, Houston, and more through community outreach and programming.

In this episode, Mitchell talks about all things healthy, wealthy, and wise as he candidly discusses his mental health journey, advise for emerging musicians, and his journey through performance and mentorship.
