In this week's episode of the Happy at Work Podcast, we spoke with Marty Martinez, CEO of Reach Out and Read, about creating moments that matter, combating the impacts of stress, and building meaningful relationships.

Marty Martinez has been the CEO of Reach Out and Read since February 2022. Reach Out and Read is a national nonprofit founded in 1989 to help families make reading a part of their routines, and to supply the books they need to get started. Their initiatives are in all 50 states, with 6,100 program sites that provide 6.4 million books each year.

Previous to his current role, Marty was the Chief of Health & Human Services for the City of Boston, and led the city's COVID-19 response efforts.
