OK, so one of the unexpected things that have happened because of this show is conversations that take a more critical look at the new age/spiritual community. After I spoke with Matthew from the Conspirituality podcast I started having some really interesting, and quite frankly disturbing, conversations from people who had encountered problematic behaviors in these communities. My friend Laura is one of them and today she's sharing her story. This is not a conversation in which we are calling out certain people and places, more of a general discussion with specific references to a music festival in particular and the scandals that stemmed from some of its attendees and social leaders who had built a following.
