In today's episode of the Far More Podcast, Jason and Liz unpack what it means to show the same love and compassion to others that Jesus not only showed to others, but shows to us as well. They are both challenged by Jesus's ultimate love and compassion towards others.
Liz brings up the example of the Samaritan woman at the well and how Jesus approached her in love and compassion to help her turn away from what she was doing and then to go and share about Him. You can read the account of this story in John 4:4-42.
Jason also talks about the parable of the Good Samaritan, which can be found in Luke 10:25-37. Jesus used this parable to demonstrate how we are supposed to show mercy to others.
Finally, Liz gives her modern day example of Jesus's love in action by sharing about her former manager, Robb Parker, and the amazing team of Shepherd's Hands who go out and visit the unhoused of Memphis, TN every single Monday and just love on them. If you would like to support their ministry, you can do so by going here and selecting Missions from the dropdown menu, then type "Shepherd's Hands" in the note section.
