Description

Welcome gorgeous listeners to this week's episode of Finding Your Way Home - one of our final in Season 4, and on a topic dear to my heart and practice.

Have you ever wondered how to find your way home physically?

How to re-establish or remember the connection to your body that you must have had, years gone by, when living in greater ease, grace or child-like freedom?

How to know how you feel, know what it means, navigate pain / tension with greater optimism?

How to optimise your felt-physicality so that daily life, daily tasks, feel easy, light, natural for a body that was born to move?

I spent my first 5 years in movement teaching specialising in re-associating; re-wiring neural and physiological pathways with clients suffering from pain, illness, injury or just the typical numbness and stagnancy much of the population live with. It was also my own personal journey- from emotionally-led chronic pain to an utterly abundant movement life.

So, in Part 1 of this solo episode, I run through the most consistent reasons for dissociation, and how we begin to work our way back inward - into feeling, texture, rich sensation & a fuller life. In Part 2, we'll dive into some of the belief aspects of the mind~body~connection puzzle, and a practice I'll guide you through to find greater sensory awareness.
