Over the past decade, but louder in the past 5 years-more and more- I feel called towards spirituality and more specifically to ritual. As an unmarried, childless woman, the last time I was celebrated by community was when I was confirmed in the 7th grade. Why is it that we do not mark the passage of time in a more meaningful way other than the occasional birthday party ?
