I was never one of those women who actively said "No kids for me".
I was also not one of those little girls who played house and wanted to be a Mommy when I grew up.
I was pretty surprised when a wave of grief about being 53 without my own nuclear family popped up after the death of my father.
I think a lot of GenX and younger women are aging without children or a traditional relationship. And it's okay to not love it 100% of the time.
