Julie Corrales, a first-generation Chicana, Julie grew up in City Heights and now lives in Barrio Logan, Julie spends her free time with her three children, writing poetry, and performing spoken word at various venues. Her poetry has been published in Acentos Review, Anacua Literary Arts Journal, and Azahares Literary Magazine.
