Have you ever danced on the edge of sobriety, wondering what life might be like without your nightly glass of wine? Mallory Simmons from Lioness Proof Coaching joins us to illuminate the path to sobriety with her innovative one-on-one coaching techniques and a six-month program tailor-made for those caught in the gray area of drinking. Throughout our candid conversation, we unravel the entangled threads of dependency, examining how sobriety can profoundly elevate mental clarity, physical health, and family dynamics.
Embarking on the journey to sobriety doesn't mean navigating through the fog alone. We dive into the serene world of meditation, exploring how it anchors the tumultuous seas of sobriety. Mallory shares the transformative potential of guided meditations and future visualizations, tools that not only bolster the resolve to remain sober but also carve out pathways for personal growth. Together, we also confront the elephant in the room – the awkwardness of social interactions sans alcohol – and discuss how embracing our authentic selves can lead to deeper, more meaningful connections.
As we wrap up this powerful session, we take a moment to acknowledge the courage it takes to break free from people-pleasing and societal expectations. Mallory and I reflect on the strength required to not only walk away from alcohol but also to stand firm in our personal preferences and desires. We leave you with a message of hope and fortitude: although the road to sobriety can be uncomfortable, the journey is rich with rewards, offering a life of intention and authenticity, one brave step at a time.
Mallory - Bio
I am a Mastery Trained Health Coach, I have a Bachelors in Psychology with a concentration in community and mental health and a certificate in Addiction Studies. In 2019 I went to Health Coach institute and got certificates in Life and Health coaching and then went on to do the year long Mastery Coaching Program to learn the Transformational Coaching Method.
Using all of my knowledge and experience I've shifted Sober Coach! I know that feeling all too well, when you wake up with a hangover the morning after a night of binge drinking and you swore you’d never drink again–only to repeat that cycle most weekends and some super stressful weekdays. It sucks, it is physically and mentally painful and it held me back for a very long time.
