Sam and Cody have the opportunity to sit down with Mark Kenyon to discuss conservation topics and his new book, That Wild Country. Mark shares his perspective on the conservation movement and the public lands movement. Sam and Cody had the opportunity to read and review the book, this episode shares some of the thoughts Cody and Sam had. Mark gives insight into why he began this project and what he hopes the book will accomplish. Mark answers questions surrounding his motivations for the book and for conservation in general. He discusses his research and experiences from the book and some of the memorable (some downright hilarious and dangerous) moments that Cody and Sam recall to him. Mark gives a look inside the realm of outdoor personalities promoting hunting and a conservation ethic in a very positive light. Mark shares his perspective on the importance of local Land Trusts like Three Rivers, and the importance of everyone's involvement in conservation.

Mark Kenyon shares the good word of conservation through his various platforms including his extremely popular Wired to Hunt podcast, his writing in Outdoor Life and Field and Stream, and his contributions to the MeatEater Inc. outdoor lifestyle company. That Wild Country is his first book.
