Imagine getting your dream gig, at the beginning of your career, and then a week before the show, you get injured out of NOWHERE.
Such was the case with Miles Franklin Smith, who just after he turned 19, had an accident happen involving his flugelhorn while practicing.
From that time it would take him over two years to get back to where he felt like he was back on his musical feet....
Yet several years later he is playing better than ever and just recently started a MASTERS degree in music performance on trumpet at Northern Illinois University!
As the man says, patience is KEY.
