Realizing that vampires know how to find him, Alex uses his power to force a mysterious, beautiful black stallion to carry him away from Dair's lodge house. But the stallion is smarter and more devious than he looks. Alex is about to discover that there are some fairykind his power can't control---and the only thing worse than an angry fairykind . . . is a fairykind with a questionable sense of humor.
