Dr. Rob Edwards is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Pain Management Center in the Department of Anesthesiology at Mass General Brigham Hospital for the Harvard Medical School. He has a PhD in Medical Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Masters in Public Health. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Pain Psychology at Johns Hopkins, before joining the faculty there in Psychiatry.
Dr. Edwards moved to Brigham & Women’s Hospital in 2008 where her provides clinical care at the Brigham and Williams Hospital Pain Management Center. As a researcher, he studies the neurobiological mechanisms by which psychosocial processes shape individual differences or, more commonly, he studies the bidirectional relationships between mind and body.
