Religious radio broadcasts began to grow in the 1940s and became a massive influence on religious discourse in America. In the mid-1930s there was a radio priest would regularly attack modern society over the airwaves. These types of public broadcasts have influenced many in faith communities to viciously attack people who disagree. Today I will share my story of coming out and the opposition I experienced as a pastor who came out as LGBTQ+.
