Join me this week as I sit down with Rebecca Minor, LICSW, a queer, Jewish clinician, consultant, educator and author specializing in the intersection of trauma, gender, and sexuality. She is the founder of Prism Therapy Collective, where her approach is always trauma-informed and resilience-oriented.
During our time together, Rebecca shares her personal journey to becoming a Gender Specialist, who now dedicates her life to working alongside trans and gender nonconforming youth through their journey of becoming as well as serving as a guide to their parents. At a time when trans hate and suicide is on the rise, Rebecca is a true gift to our community.
In addition to her clinical work, Rebecca is a part-time faculty member at Boston University School of Social Work and has provided cultural responsiveness training and consultation to organizations, schools, and businesses for the past decade. Rebecca is also the author of the forthcoming book "Raising Trans Youth; What To Expect When You Weren’t Expecting This" which is set to be released in Fall 2025.
