Description

This week Megan and Jordan (your favourite lowborn actors) are joined by founder, director & writer Meghan Loughran and co-director & director Gray Enever from Lowborn Theatre!
From university project to Edinburgh Fringe to a full on theatre company, Lowborn Theatre is dedicated to creating meaningful, nuanced and accurate depictions of working class life, told by working class voices.
Gray discusses their journey into directing, from finding acting in their late teens to discovering an approach to directing that values detail, improvisation, lore and a trusting relationship between actor and director.
Meghan reveals the origins of Lowborn and how she became a writer, drawing from lived experience and channeling it into her notes app where her plays that disrupt working class stereotypes all begin.
This episode includes four people talking over one another about things such as: scaring the children of today, genetic predisposition to maths, rate my meal deal and a live performance from Ant & Seb from the X-Factor.
Apologies for the technical issues with the sound, our resident tech wench is on the case.
