The Silsbee Ice House is tucked away off Hwy 69 and is where blocks of ice were manufactured over 100 years ago. It is a museum both beautiful and quaint, with a sprawling display of exhibits to enlighten and educate. In this episode we hear from Mrs. Susan Shine Kilcrease, Museum Director and how she is taking an active role in reaching out to the community to help discover new artifacts that reveal important elements of Southeast Texas History. We are joined by Dewey, her affectionate rat terrier and museum mascot.
