Description

This week we are back in the workshop trying to answer the question, "can we fix other people?" What makes a person broken, or in need of "fixing", and what can we do to help them? How is helping different from fixing? Oftentimes we do more damage than good when we try to fix others. Having someone try to fix you seems to only call motives into question and breed resentment. To avoid these common power struggles we have determined that it's our own responsibility to fix ourselves - to whip ourselves into shape. No one else's.

So how do we fix ourselves? Paradoxically, this approach is most likely not a solitary pursuit. Karen says, "healing happens on a communal level." This conversation digs deep into the mechanisms behind our comparisons and judgments as we try to unravel the differences between the two. Join us for another heavy duty look into the eyes of our own behaviors. We invite you to reflect on the differences between fixing, helping, and healing, and remember that it all starts by looking within. So when a problem comes along, you know what to do.
