Good morning, family, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to thee how great Thou art, how great Thou art
Jesus... today I thank You for health
, and I thank You in a special way for health because I had some lack of it
, and there's nothing like not feeling good to help recalibrate me.
So, Jesus, I thank You for so many days of good health and for so much good health that You've blessed me with my entire life.
And please recalibrate my empathy for other people and I pray in a special way for those who have not had good health nearly as much as I have.
I thank you for all who've suffered chronic and recurring pains and fears and illnesses. Jesus, I pray for Your healing upon them and for Your strength for them to endure.
And, Jesus, I come praying how great Thou art.
But so many of my prayers I feel like they have the tone of maybe we can eke something out of You to help us inch through another day.
Jesus, You are so much bigger than my prayers
, so please once again help me to see You and know how much bigger You really are
, and help me once again today to put on Your jersey
and to run the plays that You call
and to be coachable
, and to not simply try and recruit You to play on my team
and try and get You to help me win my games.
Jesus, help me to not simply use You as a means to an end to answer prayers or to accomplish the things that I want.
Jesus, help me to just think and to know who You really are and how great Thou art.
Please hear the prayers of my loved ones and Yours and bless them today in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
